Xiaomi’s Mi Max phablet has been long awaited; there were numerous teaser images that were released earlier and on one occasion Xiaomi’s CEO himself revealed the real device. Today the company finally unveiled the Mi Max phablet in China along with MIUI8.
Xiaomi tweeted that despite its large display of 6.44″ screen the device would have a firm grip and can be easily handled. The company boasts the phablet to have a long battery life, of 24 hours. For now, Mi Max is available in white, gray and gold, other color variants will be available soon.
The smartphone is 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5mm in measurement and weighs 203 gms. Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by Snapdragon 652 SoC and the device is available in two variants 3GB RAM with 32 or 64GB internal storage or and 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage capacity. The phone as we already know adorns a 6.44″ full HD display with 1920px x 1090px. It has a 16mp PDAF rear camera and 5mp snapper front camera that has an 85 degrees wide-angle lens.
There are two SIM card slots in the smartphone and supports 4G LTE connectivity. An immense 4850mAh non-removable battery is included in the bundle. It also features a fingerprint scanner for better security.
In China, Xiaomi Mi Max has been affordably priced at 1,499 Yuan($230), the 3GB RAM model has been priced at 1,699 Yuan($261) and the dominant 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage model is available for 1,999 Yuan($307).
