Ops – We got the leaked information from Project Scorpio by Xbox. The news is all about the Microsoft’s new project whose hardware specifications have been leaked into the market. According to the resources, the leaked information is about the 4K ready Xbox One Console.
Project Scorpio will not be having ESRAM! We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed here then. Seems like what Microsoft was looking at for this project was just only games. It wanted to continue optimizing it for ESRAM for the new games that will be released after this project is available in the market. Note that this technology is a critical part of both Xbox and Xbox One S.
As per the leaked document, it is clearly mentioned that
ESRAM remains essential to achieving high performance on both Xbox One and Xbox One However, Project Scorpio and PC are not provided with ESRAM. Because developers are not allowed to ship a Project Scorpio-only SKU, optimizing for ESRAM remains critical to performance on Microsoft platforms.
Also in the document, it is mentioned Reaching 4K and GPU Scaling Across Multiple Xbox Devices, Microsoft states that Project Scorpio shall be supporting the delta color compression where the amount of GPU bandwidth renders the color pixels of the game. The project was announced back in 2016 where Microsoft claimed to bring new console that will have 8 CPU Cores with 320 GBs memory and 6 teraflops of performance! Wow- that was huge for a gaming industry to have!
The console launch is all lined up for the holiday season but according to Xbox sources, it’s not happening till June 2017. As per the media releases by Microsoft, the claim is on Most powerful console ever made
We are keeping our fingers crossed for this project’s release and we hope both technological giants Xbox and Microsoft do not disappoint the gaming fans!
