The most recent and advanced version by Apple: iOS 10 was released to the public in September 2016. This release was previewed at the Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developer’s Conference) in June 2016. If Apple were to follow its rituals, then the users can expect Apple to showcase its plans of releasing iOS 11 version at WWDC 2017 in June. In a similar manner, the customers can expect Apple to release iOS 11 in September.
WWDC by Apple is an annual event wherein Apple invites several leading developers from around the corners of the world for taking part in the iOS development workshops. In the meantime, Apple also takes the opportunity to showcase its annual software update.
On 16th February 2017; Apple had announced the event of WWDC 2017 to take place in the month of June. The event this year would be held from 5th to 9th of June. The event will take place at McEnery Convention Centre is San Jose, California. The Apple fanatics can expect the company to announce the release of iOS 11 on the first night of the event. Apple is then expected to release the developer beta version of the software by testing the same by its software partners. Owing to the trends, the iOS 11 could be released in September 2017 alongside the new Apple iPhone models: iPhone 7s and/or iPhone 8.
The update to the final public version of the iOS 11 would be simple and free. The downloading and the installation of one of the beta versions are expected to be slightly difficult. Eventually, the setting up of the developer account in the same would cost around $99 per year.
There are several gadgets that would enjoy the leisure of the latest iOS 11. However, the older versions of iPad 4, iPad mini 2, and iPhoen 5 might miss out on iOS 11. The following devices would be able to install and run on iOS 11:
- iPad Air 1, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, iPad Air 2,
