Another Windows Phone application has failed miserably. This time it’s Spotify, the popular music streaming service; in any case, there might be some promising finish to the present course of action.
The site WishAppList is a site that is committed to Windows telephone users who want to vote in favor of applications that they’d like to see on the platform. An update to the Spotify application was recommended, and this was the response:
Thank you for dropping us a message. We are happy to hear that you found the Spotify Community helpful. Give us a chance to try and shed some light on our possible upcoming updates. We can confirm Windows Phone 8.x is no more supported. You can even now use our Spotify application on the associated gadgets yet it will no more get any further updates and download the application. We apologize for the inconvenience. Concerning Windows 10, we can’t say right now if or when a specific release will be out, yet when there is something new, you will get a notification on your gadget that an update is available and prompted to download it. Hope this information has been useful. If you have something else on your mind, simply drop us a line.
Have a great day,

As we can see, the Windows Phone application is clearly no more supported; in any case, Tsvetan hints at the possibility of a Windows 10 application. It also noticed that if Spotify releases a UWP application, it will be available as an update to the current Windows Phone application, rather than releasing a different application.
Spotify joins a growing list of Windows Phone applications that are no more supported. The good news is that while numerous applications have really closed down the service, at least users can still use Spotify.
