Samsung revealed in Berlin at IFA 2016, the Gear S3, its latest smartwatch. This is expected in two variants, the classic and Frontier. This South Korean company a couple of weeks back has put both the variants in the UK for pre-order and now both are out of stock.

Though it was at that time available only in the UK, consumers in other European countries may pre-order as Amazon has listed the same on its website. Both, Gear S3 Classic and Frontier are obtainable from the e-commerce giant as pre-order.

Samsung Gear S3 Up In Europe from Amazon For Pre-Order

The Gear S3 Classic and Frontier are priced at €399 ($442), this is higher than the Gear S3 price sold in the US, at around $350. Right now, Amazon product page has not indicated any release date for these smartwatches, and there is also no clear shipping date mentioned.

However, the shipping of the pre-ordered smartwatches is anticipated in mid-November as these are to be shipped to other markets during the same time. When there was the announcement of the Gear S3 Frontier, it came with 4G LTE connectivity, but the Amazon listing, does not state the 4G LTE connectivity, so it is not clear if the Gear S3 Frontier that is in pre-order will support 4G networks or not.

With respect to the specs, the smartwatch will come with a circular Super AMOLED display of 1.3 inches covered by Corning’s new Gorilla Glass SR+. The S3 Classis features a streamlined design and is 12.9mm thick, though the S3 Frontier also has an identical thick casing of 12.9mm, it appears sporty and edgy.

Both feature dust and IP68 water resistance, 4GB storage, RAM of 768MB, optical heart rate sensor and OS of Samsung’s own Tizen 2.3.2. A CPU of dual-core is docked at 1.0GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and Wi-Fi is also included. There is the 380mAh battery in the Gear S3 and Samsung claims with one charge it can offer three to four days battery life. The latest from Samsung supports wireless charging. The Gear S3 Frontier supports 4G LTE, but S3 Classic does not and requires a Wi-Fi connection.
