After 2 years of preparation, the New York founded tech startup POLATAP will launch at the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter on November 6th. Already gaining traction with interviews in Times Square New York and Hong Kong Electronics Fair, we take a look at the company’s first product.
Earphones, portable battery, a speaker, charging cables, and a pouch are essentials that you need when traveling. The size, weight, and the shear number of these things make it easy to misplace, but their concept combines all of this into one, which sounds very convenient. It’s not cheap considering its retail price of $199. However, for their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, they plan to have a Super Early Bird price of only $79.
Common limitations of Kickstarter projects include a long wait period for the actual shipping to customers, as well as many caveats in whether the production will be successful or not. However, POLATAP’s backers have no such worries, and therefore gathering, even more, attention and love from the audience. Their first batch of the earphones and Bluetooth receiver is beginning in December and will be delivered before Christmas. And their plan to share the production process as well as resources on shipping preparation definitely helps to build a trust.
Let’s take a look at why POLATAP is such a convenient product for travelers.
Enables any wired earphones to be used wirelessly.
World’s slimmest and lightest high-fidelity active noise canceling earphones.
Lightning, Micro-USB, and USB type C cables are all supported and can be used simultaneously. It basically supports all smartphones out on the market.
If you want to listen to music without using earphones, their world’s smallest Bluetooth speaker with a 3W driver has up to 24 hours of play time.
All these products use smart magnetic 9-pin contacts for easily connecting them together.
POLATAP products can all be safely stored in its single dedicated pouch, making your trip more enjoyable and convenient.
This is POLATAP, a product that makes traveling effortless which would also be just as useful in consumers’ everyday lives.
