Overwatch is celebrating its one-year anniversary with the launch of a new seasonal event. The Overwatch Anniversary is expected to run from 23rd May to 12th June. This event would feature three new maps for the Arena mode.
In addition to this, it will also contain more than 100 new items for collecting. This would also include some new dance emotes.
However, this is not all about the launch of the event of the Overwatch Anniversary. The players are also going to get some exciting range of new skins for the heroes. In addition to this, Blizzard has some exciting unlockables on offer in this new series. It would be hard to pick up the favorite hero from the jazz Lucio, the Power Rangeresque Genji, or the robotic Zarya skin.
Just like any Overwatch event, the users could make use of the randomized loot boxes of the game for getting the new skins. However, the players who have gained ample game credits would be able to unlock the skins with much ease.
Blizzard would be gladly selling the players more loot boxes that the players can try out to pay for the new look of the favorite character in the game. Each of the Overwatch Anniversary loot box assures one of the new items to the players.
In addition to the anniversary event of Overwatch, the earlier announced Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition is also made available for PS4, Xbox, and PC from today. The Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition consists of as many as 10 free loot boxes along with a great collection of throwback skins from the original version of the Overwatch game.
Blizzard would be selling out the Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition for around $59.99. As a part of the anniversary event, the special price for this series is available at $39.99.
