Last month, Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul confirmed that the company will be releasing a new update for Windows RT, dubbed as Windows 8.1 RT Update 3 in September. Following the announcement, a report claimed that Update 3 for Windows 8.1 RT will include an improved Start Menu.
Now, Microsoft has quietly updated it’s Windows 10 FAQ page which now states that Windows 8.1 RT Update 3 will improve the menu and lock screen:
If you’re running Windows RT, your device won’t upgrade to Windows 10. We will have an update available in September 2015 that will improve the Start menu and lock screen. Check Windows Update on your Windows RT device to make sure it is ready to download the update when available.
