Microsoft continues to try and grow its gaming division. The company recently announced that they were going to increase the capabilities for the increasing number of Xbox titles for the Xbox one game console. The company started by silently enabling multi-disc games. Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut was enabled to work with the backward compatibility of the Xbox gaming console.
The upgrade by Microsoft comes at a time when many users and experts claim that the Xbox One gaming console might not be up to standards that were set by its predecessors in spanning multiple discs at the same time.
Larry Hryb, however, confirmed the news that the backward compatibility team at Microsoft had found a way. He posted the news on Reddit. He wrote saying that he could confirm that the team had found a way to support multi-disc cases and users were indebted to the backward compatibility engineers.
The days of playing last gen are over but for all gamers out there who remember two or three disc games that would be nice to play are surely going to welcome the news. All technological barriers that were put have now been removed. Gamers should, however, expect some problems since backward compatibility games do not run according to plan most of the times. Other than that, the feature is very welcome to the Microsoft Xbox One gaming console.
