A few days back Motorola celebrated an event with the video of their iconic Razr that indicated that the company is going to revive their flip phone once again, but this assumption turned out to be false while we could have a glance at their two new flagship devices Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Both the devices are very promising, and Motorola claims them to be the first true modular Smartphone platform.
Moto Z Will Be Available in Two Variants
Moto Z will be available in two variants, Ultra thin and thicker while the other device Z Force will be bit stronger than Moto Z and both will be equipped with 5.5-inch display along with extremely rapid charging facility. But the camera of Z Force will be much improved of 21MP while the other one will carry 13MP camera. Moto Z Force is also a bit thick than Moto Z having a 5.2mm thickness.
But apart from all these specs, the major thing to make these two devices standout is the modularity. Moto mods, the swappable accessories in the gadget are the one that fills the devices with so many extra cool features. The company has displayed its three own Moto mod. These are a battery pack, a speaker accessory, and a projector. Developers and others partners can create their modules while these modules can be sold separately from the devices. The parts are attached via magnets and powered by 16 magic dots which allow the modules are tapping into phone’s core components. Connecting a module is very simple and is done in just seconds, and the phone confirm it through a vibration.
LG G5 and Google Project Ara are other modular designs we have seen before, but the ones from Motorola are more polished, developer ready and probably the best case for modular Smartphone. Both the devices Moto Z and Moto Z Force will go on sale later this year.
