This is the perfect time for buying a Xbox One as Microsoft again announces a price cut on this console. So, this is the third price cut since May and now the 500 GB Xbox One is available at just $249, around half of the original price when it was first launched almost three years ago.
First, the price dropped at $299 in May, later it was cut to $279 and now you can own it at just $249. It seems Microsoft is planning to clear its inventory of Xbox One before the most anticipated Xbox One S to arrive in the market which is set to release on August 2nd.
Price Cut News was Declared by Major Nelson
The $249 500GB Xbox One version is bundled with numerous interesting games such as Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Forza Motorsport 6, Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rare Replay etc. Amazon and Best Buy are the retailers to supply the console. This price cut news was declared by Major Nelson in Twitter.
However, this offer is definitely for a limited period so all those planning to own a Xbox One, do rush to the store as no such time period is explained as of now.
Xbox One saw huge hit as EA revealed earlier that Microsoft has managed to sell more than 19 million Xbox One console in January.
The latest version of this console, Xbox One S is almost 40% smaller than the original version while the hardware design is highly impressive. The hardware has been praised a lot. Xbox One will be launched just a week later and with Xbox Scorpio, is expected to arrive during next year, it is really tough to say if Microsoft will actually continue manufacturing the original hardware once the stock is over.
