Xbox One Scorpio release date is still in doubt, as Microsoft remains uncertain about when exactly the Project Scorpio will be unveiled in full.
The high spec Xbox One sequel, the Xbox One Scorpio was announced at E3 last year, but there has been little seen from the console since. Xbox One boss, Phil Spencer, was recently asked when fans could expect to hear more about the expected device, and whether we’ll be seeing it at the E3 gaming expo in June.
Unfortunately, he said they are unsure when the console will be revealed, but the company is, however, aware that fans want to see more of the expected console.
“Honestly not sure yet but I know people want this.
Spencer told one fan. Asked how Scorpio was doing, Spencer said:
Absolutely, great that our 1st party teams are getting engines up and tuned, great progress across studios, platform and how.
Microsoft announced a holiday 2017 release date for Xbox One Scorpio, but with the development going well, and rival consoles like Nintendo Switch-hitting the market, there was a talk of an earlier release, instead.
All we understand by now is that Xbox One Scorpio will not be, and will never be like a PC, but it is a complete gaming console like its predecessor Xbox One. After one fan expressed concerns that the Scorpio was a gaming PC made to look like a console, Spencer replied:
That’s not what Scorpio is. It’s a console. No, the console experience is different from PC IMO, and XB1, XB1S, Scorpio etc are consoles.
Though we are worried about premium pricing Microsoft is going to charge for this console, which might put gamers out of the budget, but we are sure it’ll be worth the wait. Imagine gaming with 6 teraflops of GPU, with 4K resolution, and super-power!
