Apple has recently come up with their latest software iOS 11 and it seems to come with some really exciting features. From talking to Siri to one-handed keyboards and from Live Photo editing to support for ARKit apps, these features were long awaited on iOS.
It has been just about a little more than 30 days and iOS 11 has been already been downloaded and in use on 40% Apple devices.
Among the long list of features that you get to enjoy on your device with iOS 11 is the possibility for the users to shut down their device without actually having to use the Power Button.
You wouldn’t have the need of using this feature quite often but there may be situations such as the Sleep/Wake button isn’t working maybe because you dropped your phone. You would require shutting down your phone and then turn it on again. Here is what you need to do:
- Go to Settings
- Swipe down and tap Shut Down
- Swiping the Power Slider left to right will turn it off
Quite an easy to use the feature and handy for those who don’t like to squeeze buttons to have their work done.
Other feature additions which stand out is the screenshots which appear in a small picture-in-picture window below your phone screen and if you don’t use it instantly it disappears automatically after some time and gets saved in the Photos so you can use them later on. Clicking on it lets you share it instantly as text, delete it or even doodle on it.
The App Store has been redesigned and it looks marvelous. You cannot ignore the Do Not Disturb While Driving feature which is a life saver. Auto texts are sent to people you message you while you are in this mode.
The big software update should be downloaded on your phone if you wish to enjoy these amazing features.
