We were already hinted that HP is coming back into the high-end gaming space when the company announced their Omen desktop and laptop earlier this year and the move is being more prominent with the unveil of their latest product Omen X Desktop.
This desktop looks like a glowing cube which is designed enough powerful to handle the 4K and VR gaming. The cube shapes are very advantageous where all its different components can be separated into many chambers to help in cooling while it also offers easy to swipe the hard drive compartments.
Inside, this Omen X Desktop will pack an i7 Skylake processor with 8GB RAM and 2TB hard drive. The SSD storage is 256GB. The desktop will also include a liquid cooling, AMD’s Radeon RX 480 graphics card that has 4GB of RAM. Omen X will have 10 USB port among which 8 are 3.0 and the remaining two are USB-C. Also, buyers are offered option to go for any graphics card such as dual AMD Radeon R9 Fury X cards or dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 cards if they are interested.
HP will make this device available in their website from tomorrow and the pricing will start at $1799.
The Company is Also Building Their Own Chassis For The Omen X Desktop
Along with this, the company is also building their own chassis for the Omen X Desktop which will be helpful in many cases especially considering the wild design of the top. The chassis will cost you another $599.99.
HP is also bringing various gaming accessories in partnership with SteelSeries and those accessories include keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, headset etc. Again HP’s plan to build a gaming monitor is hinted by them that will have a curved display, however, any other details are not shared yet.
