Huawei hosted a press event during which the company introduced two if it’s new flagship phones. The event which took place in London, unveiled the Huawei P9, P9 Plus, and the TalkBand B3. They also unveiled a new fitness tracker at the press event.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are the latest high end, premium devices offering from the smartphone maker, and they are made completely out of metal with a Leica’s dual camera setup at the back.
Huawei also has another brand subsidiary, Honor. These devices sold extremely well as of last year and from data, the company’s Honor 7 smartphone was one of the best selling Huawei devices on the market. And with that, reports coming out say that the next Huawei branded Honor devices are on their way. The Honor 8 and Honor 5C are likely to be introduced this month, and new specifics and rumors about the devices are surfacing. According to the leaked information, the two devices might come on the 13th or 28th of April, depending on the source you want to believe. A leaked image suggested the device was on its way and set for an April 13th arrival but other sources are leaning to the April 28th date. According to a China based analyst, Pan Jiutang, the Honor 5C will be fueled by the Huawei’s Kirin 650 SoC.
The predecessor to the Honor 5C, Honor 4C was introduced back in April last year, with a sports 5-inch display with 3 GB of RAM, and equipped with Huawei’s Kirin 620 processor. The Honor 5C however is going to ship with 2GB of RAM, and a 720p display might also be fitted onto it. The Android Marshmallow software version 6.0 is expected to be preinstalled already, and the Huawei Emotion UI (EMUI) will also be a feature. A 13 megapixel camera is expected at the back, and also the phone is expected to be a double SIM phone. The Honor 5C is going to be sporting far more premium design than its predecessor, if rumors are to be believed. Huawei plans to make the 5C affordable, in line with other Honor devices and it is expected the phone will be released in a number of countries worldwide.
