India is the second most populated Asian country after China that is developing notably with days. And this has made Google choose India as the first place to launch their mobile payment app Tez.
Tez is launched today by Google in India after much speculation and buzz for several days. This is a mobile wallet app just like other mobile wallets such as Apple’s wallet app and does the same job.
Google has launched this app primarily for the iOS and Android platform and later on, they might expand the platform. Indians can make use of this app to make any kind of payment for their purchases.
How Tez works is, this connect your phone to the bank account and whenever any payment is to be made, the required money is deducted from your linked bank account through the phone.

- The supported banks by this app ares state bank of India, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Axis bank and all other banks that actually support the UPI (Unified Payment Interface).
- The app supports most of the Indian languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, and Telugu.
- The online payment partners include transport services, large food chains etc.
- Person to person money transfer is also supported by this Tez app. There is a limit for money transfer which is Rs. 1,00,000 per day while the number of transfer in a day is 6.
As of now, Google has launched this app only in India, however, it is expected to reach soon in other Asian countries as well including Philippines and Indonesia.
