Following the launch of the live streaming in iOS, Facebook has now turned its attention to Android, which will have the feature sometime this week as the organization’s CEO has uncovered that the rollout has begun.

Facebook mobile applications have been getting a considerable measure of new features recently, for example, Live Photos and reactions button that was launched for mobile applications and additionally the web. Now, Android users will get the chance to try live streaming, a feature that was presented in the iOS version of the social network’s application a month ago.

Like Twitter’s Periscope application, users can begin broadcasting their activities by just tapping the Live Video button in the Update Status area. different Periscope though, these videos are stored forever even after the broadcast is finished and can be seen from the user’s profile.

Facebook expects that the feature will be available to all Android users in the US throughout the following week. Users from other countries will need to hold up a bit longer as the organization hasn’t provided a specific timeframe to the rollout outside the US.
