Bethesda has started their preparations for E3 2016 in Los Angeles. The hype is building around Dishonored 2, with the launching date announced. The game will be available on Xbox, PS4, and PC on November 11. On their official website, the date was announced before the 11-page feature, which will go live in the next issue of Game Informer.
The digital version is available for download right now, and a physical version with full-pages screenshots will be in stores on May 7. It is a warm-up before Bethesda will show some actual gameplay during E3.
However, the company is not disclosing too many details. So far, we know that the roles of Empress Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano will be available for players. Another fact is that all missions in the game are hand-crafted, so no procedural design schemes are used. It means that the game will have a multitude of outcomes, like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Last year the information about Dishonoured 2 was scared as well when the company announced that the game will arrive in spring 2016. Obviously, the date was missed. Now, we will have to wait and see the actual gameplay on June 12 during E3.
Right now we have some splash art and cinematic trailer, where we see Emily performing a beautiful sequence of mystic skills, taking down her opponent. It looks like the choice of blades will satisfy everyone, with dress swords, naval sabers, daggers and amputation saws available. The company itself promised a variety of weapons, gadgets and special powers to choose from. But it is really more interesting to see, whether AI will be enhanced. In Assassin’s Creed, for example, the combats are almost laughably easy, so it will be nice to see Bethesda addressing that issue, and giving players a real run for their money.
