Do you remember that Blocks Modular Smartwatch from the London-based company Blocks which announced about its first modular Smartwatch through an impressive Kickstarter campaign in the last fall? This product is no longer a concept as the company is all set to showcase the final product soon while those interested in acquiring one can go for the preorder right now. Even though no release date is confirmed yet but Blocks will start launching and shipping the Modular Smartwatch later this fall. Earlier the company said of shipping their product in May but now the pre-orders will be shipped in October without any further delay.

The Smartwatch runs on Android so it is well compatible with iOS and android devices. The watch is featured with a round shaped 1.39 inch AMOLED display having 400×400 resolution, Gorilla glass 4.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 300mAH battery, a stainless steel casing, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It comes in different colors such as sunrise red, onyx black or marble white.

Blocks Modular Smartwatch is priced at $330 which includes total four modules and those can be swapped in and out in the wristband as per your need. All total six modules are available and users can choose the needed four modules for them. The available modules are:

  • Extra Battery
  • Heart Rate
  • Adventure (that is a humidity, pressure, and temperature sensor)
  • GPS and Programmable button

Any extra module will cost you more $35. Also, those not interested in having the additional module can go for the regular strap for the Blocks Smartwatch.

The modules are designed to provide perfect wrist comfort while the plug-n-play connector integrated into the watch makes connecting and disconnecting of any modules much easier. So, wait till this fall and the Smartwatch will be in your hand if you pre-order it today.
