Blackberry unveiled their second Android powered phone DTEK 50 on 26th July that has to offer something interesting to steal the mind of many. This device has kept Android as OS but has skipped the physical keyboard which resulted in bigger screen size.

With all these, the most excited news is it is available at just $299 while its previous version Priv had a sky touching price tag of $799.

Blackberry is still a struggling phone maker in the market of Smartphone and they came out with their first Android based device Priv with a hope that it will turn things like magic. However, it too did not work out and the sales were very disappointing, the price tag was all to blame for this. And now the company is trying to address the complaint of lofty price tag with their second generation android powered device DTEK 50.

The Main Selling Point of This DTEK 50 is The High Profile Security

According to the head of devices in Blackberry, the main selling point of this DTEK 50 is the high profile security and they have stated the device as World’s most secure Android Smartphone.

Coming to the features and specifications of this newly introduced device, it will sport a big 5.2-inch high definition screen size and inside there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 3 GB RAM. The phone comes packed with 16 GB storage and the memory can be further expanded using 2 TB memory card. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Speaking about the camera part and it is powered with 13 MP rear camera with 8MP front camera for having high-quality selfies.

The device will be sold through resellers and distributors as the company aim to reach as many customers as possible. In the US, the phone will be available on Amazon, Best Buy, B&H while in Canada the carriers will sell the DTEK 50.
