Android smart watches haven been too impressive thus far. But all that is going to change when the Misfit Vapor hits the shelves. Misfit have been known for unique designs and products and this is no exception.
First announced at CES 2017, the Vapor will run on Android Wear 2.0 and will be released later on in 2017. It will cost $199 making it a very affordable option for wearable Android technology. But just because it is affordable does not imply that this thing is lower end tech.
Rather, the Vapor boasts a 1.39 inch round AMOLED display and touch sensitive bezel for navigation and input, which is different to the buttons or spinning crowns on most smart watches. It is hinted that it will have a lot of customization options, such as watch faces and micro apps.
The Misfit Vapor will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and 4GB of RAM. It will also include standalone GPS. The sensors built into the device Accelerometer, Altimeter, Gyroscope and an Optical heart rate sensor.
Unlike most smartwatches, the Vapor will be water resistant up to 50 meters, which will definitely come in handy as watches are liable to get soaked every now and then. It is also said that the Misfit Vapor will have a battery time that lasts two days, which is great compared to its competition.
It will come in five different colors. Its microphone will Google Assistant that comes preloaded with the Android Wear 2.0 platform. A good thing about this wearable piece of tech is that it is priced aggressively even with its bevy of features and great design.
This would be hard for rivals to compete with as most smart watches are much more expensive and have fewer features.
