Apple takes a great part in deciding the emojis revealed by Unicode consortium and this has been noticed earlier as well when the company insisted on killing the proposed rifle emoji by Unicode. Similarly just beginning this month Apple again requested Unicode to include some of the job emoji for both male and female in the upcoming version and those includes pilots, astronauts, painters, judges, firefighter etc.

Good news is, this request is being accepted by Unicode and they are ready to include this emojis in the Unicode Emoji 4.0 update version.

Unicode Consortium is the organization that is responsible for standardizing the emoji in OS and hardware and this organization consists representatives from each company such as Apple, Microsoft, Google while it also has individual engaged in developing, reviewing along with maintaining the standard of emojis.

According to Jeremy Berge, a member of Unicode, the upcoming version will include various improvements including gender diversity, skin tone options along with the proposed job-related emojis by Apple. However, Apple is not the only company to take part in emoji standardizing rather Google too approached Unicode suggesting more of female workers and professionals like teacher, farmer, musician, healthcare professional to be presented. They made the request back in May and it was accepted in July. So, all total the Unicode Emoji 4.0 update will come packed with 16 job emojis while the total icon would be 32, counting both the male and female version.

However, Apple is not the only company to take part in emoji standardizing rather Google too approached Unicode suggesting more of female workers and professionals like teacher, farmer, musician, healthcare professional to be presented. With all these Apple has made some changes in the emojis in their iOS platform while releasing the beta version of iOS 10 and it includes squirt guns in place of a handgun while many female version of sports and job-related emojis were also included in the recent update.
