Apple has finally announced a new low-priced iPad, and the best thing about it is that it is affordable. The new Apple 9.7-inch iPad costs $329 which is quite less than Apple’s iPad Pro, 9.7-inch, starting at $599. At $329, you can enjoy 32 GB internal storage with Wi-Fi facilities, and the price increases to $459 if you need a cellular connection too. The new iPad is available in 3 amazing colors; space gray, gold, and silver. Costumers will be allowed to order it from Friday onwards.
The price cut comes with a few compromises; the new low-priced iPad does not work with Apple’s stylus or Apple Pencil while the $599 iPad Pro does. iPad Pro is also available in 2 different sizes; 9.7 inch and 12.9 inches. Moreover, iPad Pros have faster processing with better chips.
This new 9.7 inch iPad is powered by an A9 chip which was released in 2015, used in an iPhone. Whereas iPhone Pro models have faster and improved A9X chip. If compared to low-priced iPad’s predecessor, the iPad Air 2, it has a faster chip and is still less expensive. However it does not have the Air nomenclature, instead, Apple gave it a brighter screen.
Phil Schiller, Apple’s head of marketing said regarding the announcement of the release of new cheaper iPad,
iPad is the world’s most popular tablet. Customers love the large, 9.7-inch display for everything from watching TV and movies, to surfing the web, making FaceTime calls, and enjoying photos, and now it is even more affordable.
This price is ideal for all iPad lovers who want to enjoy a big screen at low prices.
Apart from this, for iPad Mini 4, Apple dropped the price of the store. iPad Mini 4 has a 7.9-inch screen with 128 GB on internal storage at $399.
