You can be now recommended by the Consumer Reports on using the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 after it has resolved its battery issues. Earlier, the MacBook had shown some inconsistencies with the battery test results.
However, Apple went on to issue an update on January 9th where it has patched up its battery issues and thus has received a thumbs up from Consumer Reports for being used by the consumers.
Consumer Reports in their new findings have revealed that with the updated software of the Apple MacBook Pro 2016, all the three Macbook Pros in their lab performed well in terms of the battery usage as one of the MacBook Pro models kept running for around 18.75 hours on a charge.
The Consumer Reports revealed that they had tested each of the MacBook Pro 2016 model various times with the use of the new software. They had followed the same protocol which they had been employing on several other laptops as well.
Consumer Reports Analyzed MacBook Pro 2016
Consumer Reports have analyzed that MacBook Pro 2016 has performed better by running tests on its performance, battery life, display and various other features. The results of the test have revealed that the Apple’s MacBook has shown consistent battery life and performance which fell into the range of 3.75 hours to 19.5 hours on a single charge.
However, to correct these issues, Apple had recently released a software bug in its Safari browser due to which the battery life was poor. This was confirmed by the Consumer Reports which has now been fixed by the Apple in its MacBook Pro 2016 model. Upon the testing conducted by the Consumer Rights on the battery life of the Apple MacBook Pro 2016, the results have been as follows:
- MacBook Pro 13-inch without touch bar showed 18.75 hours of battery life upon single charge.
- MacBook Pro 13-inch with touch bar showed 15.75 hours of battery life upon single charge.
- MacBook Pro 15-inch with touch bar showed 17.25 hours of battery life upon single charge.
